Cublanco

This personal portrait project was created during several trips Felix Reed made to Cuba. Carrying a simple white cloth as a portable backdrop, he was able to photograph many of the people he encountered along the way as if they were in a studio setting. Although the island is often associated with vivid and vibrant colors, the series was shot in deep black and white, allowing the faces and expressions of the subjects to tell their stories.
